Reinout Leys is a senior attorney at Eubelius. He specialises in Belgian and European competition law. Reinout advises companies on the various aspects of merger control, antitrust and cartel enforcement, state aid, digital markets regulation and foreign direct investment screening.
Reinout became a member of the Dutch Bar Association at the Brussels Bar in 2016. Until the end of 2024, he worked in the European competition practice of a renowned British law firm in Brussels. Since 2025, he has been an attorney at Eubelius.
Reinout obtained his master’s degree in law from KU Leuven and later an LL.M. from The University of Chicago in the United States. In 2023, Reinout earned an additional Bachelor of Arts at the RITCS in Brussels.
Reinout was a selected member of the KU Leuven Research Master programme in collaboration with the University of Tilburg, and of the KU Leuven Moot Court programme. He participated in several publications and was part of winning moot court teams in the ELMC European Law Moot Court (2015) and the Frits Kalshoven International Humanitarian Law Moot Court (2014).
