Denise Salles is a partner in the Corporate & Finance practice and regional head of Compliance at Vella, Pugliese, Buosi e Guidoni Advogados. Denise is a member of Denton’s Global Board and co-head of the Compliance practice for Latin America and the Caribbean. With over 25 years of experience, she represents national and international clients from various sectors, including healthcare, payment services, construction, infrastructure, real estate, financial institutions, and energy.
She has extensive experience in corporate matters and corporate transactions, contracts, foreign investment, and compliance-related topics, focusing on internal investigations, due diligence, risk analysis, training, and structuring compliance programs. Additionally, Denise has conducted several internal investigations at multinational companies in Brazil.
She is a member of WWCDA – Women’s White Collar Defense Association, the OAB Compliance Studies Committee, the OAB Corporate Law Committee, the Compliance and Integrity Committee of the Brazil-Canada Chamber of Commerce and the Institute of Applied Corporate Law – IDSA.
She holds a degree in Law from the University of São Paulo, a specialisation in Business Administration from FGV-SP, in Corporate Law from the Pontifical Catholic University, in Management Development from Fundação Dom Cabral, and in Insurance and Reinsurance Law from FGV-SP.
