Aslam Moosajee is a senior lawyer and an Executive at ENS in the Dispute Resolution practice.
He is also a Centre for Dispute Resolution accredited mediator and a member of International Court of Arbitration South Africa, National Committee Nominations Commission, the Central Gauteng Lions’ Cricket’s Legal and Governance sub-committee, the Legal Practice Council and the Johannesburg Attorneys Association.
He specialises in commercial and financial litigation, as well as constitutional and administrative law, arbitrations and mediations and has done so for over 2 decades. He has advised clients across a wide range of industries including financial services, telecommunications, energy, education and media. He also advises Government departments and State-owned entities in regard to dispute resolution.
Aslam’s experience includes advising and representing clients in a number of precedent setting cases, including those relating to the South African National Credit Act, 2005, the Companies Act, the Financial Intelligence Centre Act, the termination of banker customer relationships, claims arising from loadshedding implemented by the Eskom, the generator and distributor of electricity in South Africa and in resolving sport-related disputes. He also specialises in giving advice in regard to defamation matters and crisis management.
Aslam also has extensive arbitration and mediation experience.
He has examined candidate legal practitioners for exams that they are required to complete for the purposes of being admitted as an attorney and has written numerous articles relating to legal development and he has also been interviewed many times on radio and television.
