“Since a GC can’t be everywhere, strong relationships help extend the reach of the legal function, enabling others to act as your eyes and ears across the business. ”
Commercially driven Group General Counsel with a strategic mindset and a passion for simplifying complexity and unlocking growth.
I provide pragmatic, forward-thinking legal advice that empowers senior stakeholders to make confident, informed decisions within the business’s risk appetite. Ambitious yet grounded, I thrive on building trusted relationships at board level and across operational teams, applying agile, innovative legal solutions that fit each unique context.
Currently, I serve as a trusted advisor to The Institute of Engineering and Technology Group (IET), guiding Boards and leadership teams across China, Hong Kong, India, the USA, and the wider APAC region. I lead cross-border legal, data (privacy), compliance, and governance functions, ensuring they align with strategic goals. By streamlining processes and proactively managing risk, I deliver clear commercial value through effective legal strategy.
I believe impactful legal functions are built on collaboration, clarity, and commercial insight. By fostering partnerships and a solution focused culture, I help organisations navigate complexity and achieve sustainable growth.
Alongside my role as Group General Counsel, I’m dedicated to giving back to the community. I serve as a volunteer school governor, providing strategic support to local education, and I welcome trustee opportunities where I can contribute legal expertise, boardroom perspective, and practical guidance.
I believe in connection, continuous learning, and creating meaningful, long-term impact. If you share these values, let’s connect and explore how we can make a difference together.
