As a legal counsel and strategic business advisor to Fortune 50 and Fortune 100 companies, startups, and healthcare organisations, I operate at the intersection between technology and real estate, digital health, and cross-border privacy regulations. In my daily work, I’m called upon to counsel business teams and C-suite executives alike on a wide range of commercial matters, including mergers and acquisitions, technology transactions and agreements, and smart infrastructure and sustainability initiatives.
My career is rich and varied, with exposure to private Am Law 50 (Troutman Pepper) and Chambers-ranked (Neal Gerber & Eisenberg) law firms, as well as in-house for public companies (Johnson Controls and SAC Wireless/Nokia). This mix of biglaw and in-house experience has enabled me to excel in providing practical and proactive legal advice in a way that aligns with a company’s internal business processes and strategy while mitigating risk.
Since the practice of law is rarely black and white, I thrive in the shades of grey – areas that require cross-collaboration and a drive to find innovative solutions to complex legal and business problems.
Across my career, I’ve represented developers, owners, investors, government bodies, and corporations across the globe in cross-functional matters involving distributed antenna systems (DAS), building life safety, wireless internet and cable wiring systems, technology-enhanced building infrastructure, the Internet of Things (IOT), SaaS, intellectual property licensing, and data privacy. I’ve drafted, negotiated, and executed more than 10,000 commercial contracts in the smart building, technology and healthcare spaces, as well as led projects totalling over $10B in development costs to completion.
Viewed as authentic and approachable by colleagues and clients alike, I lead with a human-first mindset, one that focuses on being a champion for the associates that work for me, delivering customised training and feedback, and always being available for questions and mentoring.
When I’m not working, you can find me competing in triathlons and other endurance events (I’m proud to have completed a Half-Ironman), volunteering with survivors of domestic violence, as well as giving back to local nonprofits in leasing and commercial contracts matters.
