With 15+ years of experience in top-tier law firms and MNCs in India and overseas, Suchita is a seasoned and versatile legal professional who advises on a variety of matters, ranging from M&A and project financing transactions to litigation. As the General Counsel at Cleantech Solar, a leading provider of renewable energy to corporations in Southeast Asia and India, Suchita oversees the legal function and supports the business objectives of the company, which owns and operates more than 160 solar power plants across the region.
Suchita is passionate about finding commercially viable solutions for her clients and delivering in-depth legal advice with the aim of reducing their CO2 emissions and electricity bills. She has been recognized for her work and was nominated as a Women Lawyer – In-house Category by Asian Legal Business in 2020 and as a Young Lawyer – In-house Category by IDEX Legal in 2019. She has also contributed to the legal literature by reviewing the M.C. Bhandari Guide to Company Law Procedures and co-authoring an article on the Companies Act, 2013. Suchita holds a BA LLB (Hons) degree from the National Law School of India University, one of the most prestigious law schools in the country.
