I currently lead the Legal Department at Laboratorios Sanfer, a Mexican pharmaceutical company with presence in several Latin American countries. In Sanfer I get to combine my passion for Corporate Law and Intellectual Property with the fast-paced world of pharmaceuticals. Every day, I work alongside an incredible team to shape our legal strategy – whether that means guiding M&A and structured finance transactions or managing intellectual property across our operations in Mexico and throughout LATAM.
As Company Secretary, I’m responsible for the corporate governance of more than 30 legal entities. It’s a role that keeps me on my toes, making sure everything we do aligns with statutory requirements and board expectations. I’ve learned that attention to detail and clear communication are just as important as knowing the law itself.
Being part of the board has given me a front-row seat to the challenges and opportunities that come with the pharmaceutical industry. I’ve developed a deep understanding of healthcare laws – from drug pricing and reimbursement to fraud and abuse – and how these issues shape our business strategies.
