I have extensive knowledge of the finance and corporate industries and expertise in leading complex cross border transactions. With eighteen years of experience working in private practice for top tier international law firms (Slaughter and May and Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP) and as an in-house lawyer for international financial groups, I have acquired key skills:
• Structured Finance: I have been a deal execution lawyer in the following sectors: project finance, loan syndications, acquisition and leveraged finance, derivatives, general banking, regulatory, capital markets and restructurings
• Advisory: I have advised in sectors including procurement and vendor management, infrastructure, business development and commercial contracts
• Multi-industry Clients: I have experience with large corporate borrowers and private equity firms in inter alia the hospitality (Hilton Hotels Corp.), telecommunications (Intel Corp.), real estate (Colony Capital), airline (Gate Gourmet), energy, infrastructure, power and renewables, oil and gas sectors as well as with financial institutions both in lending (all major banks) and distressed debt restructuring (Lehman Brothers) contexts.
• International: I am fluent in English, French, German and Persian. I am a multi-jurisdictional lawyer with professional qualifications in both England and Wales and France and with an international remit working in Paris, San Francisco, Frankfurt, London and New York.
• Leadership: I have held in-house director roles and provided continuous mentoring and training of staff at all levels.
• Commercial: I have a reputation for having a commercial approach whether working in-house or in private practice.
• Stakeholder Relationships: Throughout my career I have built strong relationships both internally (front/back/middle office and senior management) and externally (outside counsel).
