María Fernanda Alvarado is the Vice President of Corporate Affairs and General Counsel at Línea Directa S.A.S., a leading Colombian fashion and retail group. She oversees the company’s Legal, Compliance, Sustainability/ESG, and Corporate Communications functions, guiding strategic decision-making across multiple jurisdictions, including Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, Spain and Asia. With more than 18 years of experience advising high-growth and family-owned organisations, she specialises in corporate governance, regulatory strategy, cross-border operations, and complex compliance matters. Her work integrates legal rigour with strategic business insight, supporting organisational transformation, international expansion, and long-term value creation. María Fernanda also leads the Family Office governance agenda, strengthening succession planning, ownership structures, and purpose-driven leadership across the business group. She is recognised for building collaborative, multidisciplinary teams and for embedding sustainability and corporate purpose at the core of decision-making.
