Kyle Riddell is a senior lawyer practicing in Vancouver, British Columbia, who draws on additional legal experience across Australia, New Zealand, and the UK. In his current role as Senior Legal Counsel and Assistant Corporate Secretary for EVR Operations Limited (EVR), an indirect subsidiary of Glencore plc., Kyle oversees corporate legal risks affecting EVR’s business and provides legal guidance on strategic projects, including M&A (deal structuring, drafting and negotiations), corporate governance, indigenous affairs and regulatory aspects for the Canadian business.
In addition, working with shareholders, directors and officers of EVR’s group of companies, Kyle oversees the corporate secretarial functions, including joint ventures, corporate, employment and pension matters. Prior to joining EVR, Kyle obtained extensive experience in private practice in McCarthy Tétrault’s Business Law Group in Vancouver, specialising in the areas of corporate law, M&A and securities.
Kyle currently serves on the executive of the Canadian Bar Association (CBA BC) for the In-House Lawyers (Canadian Corporate Counsel Association), the Senior Counsel and the Natural Resources Law sections.
