Efeoghene Victor Atanya is a senior management executive and legal professional with experience in corporate governance, regulatory compliance, corporate and commercial law and practice. He has led a commendable career in the banking and financial services sector and consulting services with over a decade of experience marked by growth, adaptability, and leadership promise. Victor values excellence, ethics, and professionalism. He currently serves as Company Secretary/Legal Adviser at BCN Nigeria Ltd.
Victor has led consulting engagements on compliance, risk, and corporate governance at Ernst & Young West Africa providing services to clients in the Finance, Banking, Aviation, Insurance, Capital Market, Manufacturing, and FMCG sectors within Nigeria and other West African countries. He has also served as the pioneer Company Secretary and Head of Legal of Globus Bank, Senior Legal Officer at Wema Bank Plc, Legal Officer at Zenith Bank Plc, and Associate at Chief C.O Ihensekhien (SAN) & Co. Chambers.
Mr. Atanya enjoys serving as a mentor to young lawyers and early career professionals. He is also actively interested in thought leadership in finance, telecommunications, digital inclusion, financial inclusion, artificial intelligence, data privacy and corporate governance for the public sector, start-ups and MSMEs.
