I am a senior in-house lawyer specialising in data protection, privacy governance, and regulatory compliance, with extensive hands-on experience in KVKK and GDPR implementation. I currently work as a Senior Data Protection Lawyer within a multi-sector group structure, advising companies operating primarily in the energy, manufacturing, and consumer sectors.
My role involves managing group-wide data protection processes, including the design and operation of privacy governance frameworks, VERBİS registrations, handling personal data breaches, and advising on cross-border data transfer mechanisms. I hold ISO 27001 and ISO 27701 Lead Auditor certifications and work closely with information security, IT, and relevant business units to support and coordinate information security and privacy compliance processes.
I regularly collaborate with senior management and operational teams to assess data protection risks and deliver practical, business-oriented legal solutions. I am an active member of professional legal and compliance associations, including Mevzuat Uyum Derneği and the In-House Lawyers Association, and value professional communities as key platforms for knowledge sharing, training, and meaningful professional engagement.
