Anweshaa Majumdar Dugar is Senior Legal Counsel at Entrepreneurs First, where she works at the heart of company-building – partnering with founders from day zero on investments, structuring, and the high-stakes decisions that shape early-stage startups.
She began her career at PwC, before moving into top-tier law firms like Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas and Trilegal, building a strong foundation across advisory and complex corporate transactions. That mix of consulting and law continues to shape how she approaches problems – commercially grounded, but execution-focused.
Today, her work spans cross-border investment frameworks, regulatory strategy, and building legal systems that don’t slow companies down – but actually help them move faster. She is particularly interested in rethinking the role of legal in startups – moving away from risk-avoidance towards enabling smart, informed bets.
Known for her bias for action and comfort with ambiguity, Anweshaa thrives in environments where there’s no playbook – and prefers building the system rather than working within one.
