“Being a GC can feel like a solo act at times, but the reality is we’re all facing similar challenges. That’s why collaborating with other in-house leaders is so valuable.”

Hi, I’m Amr Wageeh a General Counsel who’s spent 20+ years sitting at the intersection of law, strategy, and business in the Middle East. I’ve helped companies grow, governments modernise, and legal teams do more with less (and do it smarter).

My background? Deep in FDI, corporate governance, public-private partnerships, and economic zones. I’ve worked across borders, across industries, and across boardrooms. Recognised five times in The Legal 500 GC Powerlist Middle East, I’ve seen firsthand what it takes to lead legal in a fast-changing world, and I’ve built the playbook for it.

These days, I’m focused on two big things:

1- Helping companies navigate complexity with clear, practical legal advice.

2- Bringing AI and legal tech into the real world, not just talking about it, but actually showing lawyers how to use it (I teach it, I live it).

I also host a podcast, Legal Insights with Amr Wageeh, and I’ve launched workshops like “Lawyering in the Age of AI: Empowerment, Not Replacement.” Bottom line? I like solving hard problems and helping people get better at what they do.

If you’re into forward-thinking law, legal ops, or just want to swap war stories from the trenches, let’s talk.
