I’m passionate about Law and Energy although I try not to be a ‘typical’ lawyer because I strongly believe that ‘we should do more with what we are best at’.
My leadership journey has included senior roles in public, private and civic sectors, coupled with a global experience, being a lawyer with more than 20 years in the Energy Field, included in the Legal 500 GC Powerlist.
Aside from being an energy lawyer, legal innovation and tech is one of my favourite topics and I embrace alternative models and technologies, reflecting on the future of the law and legal profession.
I also think that greater gender diversity on the senior executive team brings an improved performance because women leaders bring at the table a different set of skills, structural differences and imaginative perspective. I’m board member in two energy companies and one educational organisation, thus I inspire women to realise their potential, elevate their career and access leadership positions.
I dream of the day when it will be “cool” to know the Constitution and the fundamental rights. I’m the author of the first book for children that explains playfully the Romanian Constitution through images and games – “What is the Constitution? Play and find out!”, being deeply passionate about helping children understand their rights, making sure they will live in a ‘good society’.
I also launched SmartasticLab initiative – a NGO supporting education towards rule of law, human rights, gender equality and the empowerment of children in Romania who can be ‘smart’ and ‘fantastic’ at the same time. Launching a Constitutional literacy project named “Start with the Right” implemented in the primary schools in Bucharest is one of the most important achievements.
Not least, I am a huge fan of communities and teams, being a believer in the power of humour in leadership since “we can do serious things without taking ourselves too seriously” and being energetic in all areas.
