Senior legal executive with 20+ years of experience leading corporate transactions and other legal/privacy matters for technology companies (both B2B and D2C) by enabling the business and increasing decision velocity while managing risks strategically.
Below is a summary of my experience and skillsets:
(1) Leadership and Management: I have led deal teams at Biglaw and been part of legal leadership teams at GoFundMe, Softbank, and Aura reporting to the Chief Legal Officer, and also part of the Executive Team at Clearbit. I have managed teams with both legal and paralegal professionals and other departments indirectly.
(2) Corporate/Strategic Transactions: Extensive experience advising Boards and Senior Executives on financings (both debt and equity), M&A, corporate governance, and equity matters.
(3) Product and Privacy Counselling: Built out privacy programs, at GoFundMe, Aura and Clearbit, and provided extensive counselling to product, engineering, and marketing teams on regulatory compliance matters for new products for GDPR/CCPA and AI matters, etc.
(4) Commercial Legal Process Scaling/CLM Implementation and Optimisation: Reduced operational costs and inefficiencies to scale commercial legal operations at GoFundMe, SoftBank, Aura, and Clearbit to increase speed, implement CLM Tools, and result in more favourable outcomes.
(5) Crisis Management: Played a significant role in navigating crises in different roles such as WeWork, Covid, RIFs, CEO transitions, and other similar matters in a calm, level-headed manner.
(6) Artificial Intelligence/Privacy/Regulatory Affairs: Lead the AI Governance Committee at GoFundMe and Softbank’s Taskforce on AI in 2018.
(7) International Experience: Practiced law in India for six years and navigated various legal issues for laws in Latin America, Japan, the UK, Singapore, and the Cayman Islands.
